Business schools have long known the value of teaching complex concepts through simulations. In the utility industy, APOGEE plays the lead role in creating dynamic business simulations. The firm has received numerous awards, including the Association of Energy Services Professionals' Award for Product Innovation.
Format

These exercises run from a several hour version conducted in a relaxed, retreat/social setting to an intensive multi-day competition. Our experienced energy professionals facilitate the simulations, or train-the-trainer site licenses are available.

"Best hands-on learning activity about our industry I've ever seen."

- Tom Humphreys, BG&E

Simulations
    . . . Deregulation:
"What you play when you are no longer a monopoly."

    . . . Price is Right
A half to full day workshop where teams shop for power, choose pricing, and learn about derivatives by using futures and options.

    . . . Trading Game
An action-packed one or two-day workshop covering theory and a competitive trading simulation where teams apply what they've learned using energy derivatives to manage price risk.

    . . . Let's Make a Deal!?!
A simulation that is the perfect platform for customers and utility reps working together to find out just what "electric choice" is going to mean to both of them.
